On 14th October, Greater Manchester CND will be hosting a conference outlining the case for renewables to solve our energy needs of the future. As climate change-induced droughts jeopardise the capacity of nuclear power stations to cool down, and plants such as Zaporizhzhya in Ukraine sit between two opposing armies, it is time to have a frank conversation about the dangers of nuclear power, and the need for alternative solutions to nuclear weapons.
Speakers include Greenpeace Policy Director, Doug Parr; Green Party MP Caroline Lucas; Dr. Paul Dorfman; and Dr. Ian Fairlie, as well as many other campaigners, academics and activists to be announced.
