Talks not Bombs: Get the UK to Vienna

The first meeting of states that have joined the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons takes place later this month in Vienna. Against the backdrop of the increased threat of nuclear war, states from every continent will come together to reassert their commitment to a world free of nuclear weapons.

Along them will be NATO Member States including Germany and Norway – but the UK has decided to join those boycotting the conference.

We’re joining CND and many other groups in calling for the decision to be reversed. It isn’t too late for the government to send a representative to hear from those who are involved with the Treaty.

On Saturday 11 June Greater Manchester CND groups will be taking part in a Day of Action on this issue. As well as joining the events taking place you can also write to the Foreign Secretary Liz Truss.
