On Friday 6th August, local dignitaries, peace movement representatives and members of the public will be meeting in Manchester to commemorate the victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The event starts at 10am by the university war memorial in the Quadrangle behind the main Whitworth Building (University of Manchester).
There will be readings and poetry to help us reflect on those affected by the bombings, as well as the victims of war in the modern day.
